Who we are

This privacy policy covers the website at eng-sidehustlesummit.com. We are an independent promotional and informational website about the Side Hustle Summit 2026 event. We are not the event organisers and we do not operate the registration system.

What we collect

This is a static website. We do not run accounts, we do not host a registration form, and we do not ask you for personal information anywhere on this site. Specifically:

• We do not collect names, email addresses or payment details on this site.
• The quiz and calculator on this site run entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter into either tool is transmitted to us or stored anywhere.
• We do not sell, rent or share personal data. The only visitor data collected is the aggregate analytics described below.

Server logs

Like every website, our hosting provider records standard technical request data such as IP address, browser type, referring page and time of request. This is used for security and to keep the site working, and is retained by the host under their own policies.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and how they arrive. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects a limited set of technical and behavioural data, including pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and the site that referred you.

We use this only in aggregate. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors, we do not add any user identifier of our own, and we do not combine analytics data with anything else. Google Analytics 4 anonymises IP addresses by default. Google acts as a separate data controller for the data it collects, and its handling is governed by Google's privacy policy.

We also verify ownership of this site with Google Search Console using a verification tag in the page source. That tag collects nothing and sets no cookies.

How to opt out

You can block analytics in several ways, none of which affect how the site works:

• Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Turn on "Do Not Track" or tracking protection in your browser. Firefox, Safari and Brave block this category of script by default.
• Use any standard content blocker, which will stop the script loading at all.
• Clear the cookies for this site at any time from your browser settings.

Beyond analytics, this site sets no advertising cookies and runs no ad network.

Affiliate links and third parties

Links on this site marked as registration or ticket links may be affiliate links. When you click one you leave this website and arrive on a third-party page operated by the event organisers or their partners. From that point on, their privacy policy applies, not ours.

Those third parties may set their own cookies or tracking parameters in order to attribute a registration or purchase. We have no access to, and no control over, any data you enter on their pages, including your email address or payment information.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, UK, or a jurisdiction with similar legislation, you have rights of access, correction and erasure over personal data held about you. Since we do not hold personal data about visitors, there is generally nothing for us to retrieve or delete - but you are welcome to contact us to confirm that. Requests relating to data held by the event organisers must go to the organisers directly.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
